How Will the Relationship between Technological Innovation and Green Total Factor Productivity Change under the Influence of Service-Oriented Upgrading of Industrial Structure?

Technological innovation is closely related to the green total factor productivity (GTFP), which has played an important role in China’s sustainable development goals. However, relationship between technological and GTFP may change due influence of economic factors such as service-oriented upgrading industrial structure. This study used a panel dual-threshold regression model perform empirical analysis order explore this change. We introduced dummy variables divide samples into three categories according threshold value for group regression. The results show that will still promote under positive double effect; is, it led nonlinear nexus. promoting decrease when structures crosses first second thresholds. Additionally, promotion effect on provinces with high levels upgrades smaller than low degree structures, even tends be 0. When government guides improvement GTFP, needs reasonably consider composition structure coordinate effective policies.
